We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to enhance the development, performance, integrity, and security of our company's database systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Database Management

• Monitor database performance and conduct performance tuning
• Install, configure, and upgrade database software and tools
• Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies
• Perform routine maintenance tasks
• Manage healthcare databases for organizational needs
• Optimize ETL processes and apply coding optimizations

Data Security and Compliance

• Develop and enforce data security policies to protect sensitive information.

Performance Optimization and Troubleshooting

• Resolve database performance issues and plan for capacity needs.
• Maintain database monitoring tools for proactive issue resolution.

Documentation and Reporting

• Document database systems and generate performance and compliance reports.

Experience

Candidates must have experience with:

• Generating complete backup and restoration plans.
• Daily monitoring of backup executions.
• Managing database restoration tests.
• Optimizing database and query performance.
• Analyzing and optimizing indexes and stored procedures.
• Participating as a database specialist in new projects.
• Automating data transfer processes.

Other Qualifications

• Knowledge of database management systems like Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL.
• Proficiency in SQL and database performance optimization.
• Familiarity with Cloud Infrastructure and reporting tools like Reporting Services and Power BI.
• Problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Task prioritization skills.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Database Administrator in the tech industry.

• Full bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
